The Sari is a traditional garment worn particularly by women across India and throughout the world. Dating back to 200BC, these customary garments were a symbol of femininity and wealth and have now evolved into and expression of individuality and culture, each one telling a unique story.The recycled Sari silk is gathered from remnants of Sari material that is either left over from creating the full Saris, or from Saris that are no longer wearable.
As opposed to throwing this material into landfills, the Sari silk is salvaged and crafted into delicate rug designs.The Sari Silk rug collection radiates a jewel like appearance that will effortlessly elevate any room. Each piece will differ due to the availability of colour and varying tones in the recycled yarns. Hand woven in India, this collection can be custom woven, however please allow for colour variation of up to 30%.
